RPR RPS Radiant Warmers Light-weight, versatile and
compact
The radiant warmers are best used for heating and lighting
of neonatal units, baby-care benches, cots, etc. Heating and
illumination are provided by a quartz resistance and two Daylight
bulbs respectively.
Two models of radiant warmers are available:
- the RPR lamp is provided with a thermostatic control of
heating
- the RPS lamp is provided with an electronic servo-control
of heating, by means of a temperature probe to be placed on
baby’s skin.
Both of them consist in an overhead fitting 80 cm long (RPR
80 and RPS 80) or 150 cm long (RPR 150 and RPS 150).
The RPR and RPS Radiant Warmers can be wall-mounted, by means
of a wall-mounting kit, in order to be placed above cots and
benches. The RPR 80 and RPS 80 can be also mounted on a height
adjustable mobile stand on a T-base, that facilitates manoeuvrability
in the ward and positioning above cots.
The RPS Radiant Warmer is equipped with an electronic control
panel that allows managing of heating and illumination. The
following heating modes are available:
SERVO-CONTROLLED MODE : The heating level is controlled by
the microprocessor in order to achieve and maintain the required
baby’s skin temperature
MANUAL MODE : The heating level is set directly as a percentage
of maximum heating power and an acoustic warning every 10
minutes is activated.
PRE-HEATING MODE: The heating level is automatically set at
30% of the maximum heating power.
Two digital displays show the baby’s actual skin temperature
and the set temperature (in servo-controlled mode) or the
heating percentage (in manual mode).
A full range of alarms allows maximum safety of operation:
the device is provided with visual and acoustic alarms for
high and low skin temperature, probe failure, probe disconnection
and power failure.
